Press kit

Facts, framing, and a route to a real human.

Soundscaper is a small, voice-disciplined company in a category that often isn't. We try to make press coverage easier by being plain about what the product is, where it sits, and what we won't claim. Use whatever's useful here; for assets, quotes, and longer briefings, the team email is below.

01

What this is

Soundscaper, in a paragraph.

Soundscaper is a personalised wellness-adjacent soundscape system from Kenjin, a London company. The product composes a fresh sound-based wellness session for each user, running the whole pipeline — intake parsing, safety classification, composition planning, audio composition — on Kenjin's own self-hosted servers rather than on a third-party AI API. Every session opens with a Monroe-style headphone induction phase, transitions into a sustained body shaped by intake, and closes with either a return to alertness or a sleep handoff.

02

Quick facts

Numbers and dates that are safe to quote.

Three plans: Single Session (one composition, no recurring), Monthly Practice (three compositions a month, plus clean in-app playback), and Companion (five compositions a month, two listener profiles, care-mode player). Pricing is confirmed at launch. Every recording a user composes is theirs to download and keep — the compressed copy is a portability version with intro / provenance, watermark announcements, midpoint cue, and five-minute closing cue baked in.

03

Position in the market

Where Soundscaper sits relative to other audio products.

  • Mass-market wellness audio(Calm, Headspace, Insight Timer, Aura): content-library products, celebrity narrators, fixed catalogues. We don't compete on catalogue.
  • AI-generated soundscape products(Endel, Brain.fm, Mubert): closest analogues. Three structural differences — the whole composition pipeline is self-hosted on Kenjin's own servers, so intake is never sent to a third-party AI API; every session opens with a Monroe-style headphone induction as architectural core (not an optional toggle); and we publish our evidence grading on every claim.
  • Therapeutic-adjacent audio with regulatory pathways(LUCID Resonance Rx, MedRhythms InTandem): FDA-cleared medical devices for specific conditions. Different regulatory category. We're wellness-adjacent, not a medical device.
  • Psychedelic-assisted therapy soundscapes (Wavepaths): clinician-supervised psychedelic-therapy use. Different segment; design principles aligned.

Boundary statement

What Soundscaper will not be reported as.

The product is wellness-adjacent listening. Specific copy boundaries we honour, and ask reporters to honour too:

  • Not a medical device. Not cleared by FDA / MHRA / EU MDR for any indication.
  • Does not treat anxiety, depression, insomnia, PTSD, ADHD, or any clinical condition. We use phrasing like “ease anxious worry,” “sleep onset support,” “dementia comfort,” “settle after panic” — felt-state language, not diagnostic.
  • Does not claim consciousness expansion, remote viewing, or any of the extraordinary perception claims associated with the Hemi-Sync / Gateway lineage. Lineage is design inspiration only.
  • Does not endorse solfeggio frequencies, “DNA repair” frequency claims, the Mozart Effect, or 528 Hz attribution. The science page rejects these explicitly.

Accurate headlines: “evidence-disciplined sound-based wellness audio” or “personalised wellness-adjacent soundscape system.” Inaccurate: “mental-health treatment app.”

05

Founder

Who built it.

Soundscaper is founded by a British technologist with multi-year working knowledge of the sound-based wellness category, the music-therapy clinical literature, and the Monroe Institute / Hemi-Sync design lineage. The canonical founder bio lives on /about. For press use, request the latest signed-off short bio at the email below.

Brand assets

Logos, screenshots, brand colours.

A press kit with logos (svg + png), product screenshots from web and mobile, and brand colour values is available by direct email. We don't host a public press-kit zip because we like to know who's using the assets — we'll send the kit within 24 hours.

Colour use: the canonical primary accent is deep teal #1F5E5C on warm cream #FAFAF7, with warm near-black #1A1A18for text. The chart palette (visualisations and evidence-tier markers) adds muted rust #A85A3C, sage #7C9A72, lavender #6B6494, sand #A87528. Please don't gradient the brand or place the wordmark over photography without checking with us first.
